Pictures from Jan 14th trip residency

Lots of fun exploring response, intention and home through the moving dancing body !! Great class too warm-up too.

UPCOMING RESIDENCY: 11th – 12th of March 2017 with Sam Gilroy

Sam Gilroy will be researching a work in the making, ‘ If Wishes Were Horses, Beggars Would Ride’. Exploring episodic memories and how to perform them, the workshop will focus on the dancers creating the imagery from the episodic memories using a polythene sheet as a central prop; creating a tent; cradling a baby; wearing a veil. This workshop seeks to explore how a company of dancers can use contact work and contemporary techniques to bring personal narratives to life and transition seamlessly from one episode to the next. Both days will begin with a 1 hour contemporary class to warm-up and learn repertoire movement, followed by choreographic tasks and explorations. This workshop is open to trained dancers and undergraduates in their final year of training. FREE: this residency is a part of trip’s choreographic exchange, supporting choreographers and professional dancers to develop work together. The residency will be held at Middlesex University
